Frequently asked questions
Students aged 13-16 should be able to sign in to Lemonade Stand and run with the concepts and activities.
Younger students (9-12) might benefit from teacher or guardian support, particularly as they make their way through the activities.
We have designed the platform so that users will be guided to the steps they need to take in sequential fashion.
We have distilled years of experience and numerous entrepreneurship books into the platform, so that students can learn what many failed entrepreneurs wish they had known.
Students will learn how to:
- Identify problems and come up with solutions
- Apply design thinking
- Develop a business model
- Build a prototype to test their ideas
- Apply the lean startup
- Market their ideas
- Pitch their ideas
They will also learn about key entrepreneurial concepts from books such as:
- Blue Ocean Strategy
- The Lean Startup
- What's the Future and Why It's Up To Us
- The Innovator's Dilemma
- Running Lean
They can also set their projects to private, should they wish to work privately on their own or in a small group. Users are also free to sign up to the platform using alias accounts should they and/or their teachers or guardians prefer to do so.
Lemonade Stand is hosted securely on Amazon Web Services, and all user data is encrypted at rest and during transfer.
As a parent or teacher, you are provided with administrator access so that you can monitor student progress through the platform and check-in as and when needed.
